Protein-Packed Peanut Butter Power Ball Recipe

After a good hard workout, I know that the one thing I need to do is get my post-workout recovery on.

 

Sometimes I will hit a blender and get a rich, thick chocolatey shake going…

…but sometimes, I really LOVE to get my Peanut Butter Power Recipe going!  It really hits all the sweet spots for me.

It’s loaded with protein to help my muscle repair and recover…

It’s full of fibrous carbs to help slow digestion and keep me full…

And it’s got the sweetness from raw organic honey (brought at local farms) and chocolate chips to give my sweet tooth a little love.

Recipe is below the picture:

Ingredients:

1 cup old-fashioned oats
½ cup peanut butter
2/3 cup unsweetened coconut shavings
1/3 cup honey (or more depending on how sticky and sweet you like it)
¼ dark chocolate chips
2 TBSP chia seeds

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well.  Roll into 1-inch balls (bigger if you want less).  Let sit in your refrigerator for 10 minutes (or longer to get the honey to adhere).  Serve and enjoy.

Serving is 2-3 one-inch balls.
