Popular Food SPIKES Your Pancreatic Cancer Risk

(GoHealthier.com)

When you go grocery shopping, you aren’t just deciding what’s for dinner.

You’re making choices that will determine your health… your longevity… and your independence.

And if you’re choosing one popular food, you could be risking it all.

New research shows that eating just a small serving of this toxic substance can SPIKE your risk of pancreatic cancer.

And the worst part? It’s in EVERYTHING.

f you haven’t already guessed it… I’m talking about sugar.

I know this isn’t the first time you’ve heard it’s bad for you.

After all, it’s well known that consuming sugar can lead to ailments like diabetes and heart disease.

But this new study found that this dangerous food can put you on the fast track to one of the deadliest forms of cancer.

For the review published in BMJ, researchers looked at 73 meta-analyses that included more than 8,500 studies looking for a link between sugar intake and health outcomes.

And what they found was disturbing…

The data revealed that folks who consume sugar-sweetened drinks and foods with added sugars could significantly increase their risk of:

  • Weight gain,
  • Gout,
  • High cholesterol,
  • Diabetes,
  • Fatty liver disease,
  • Heart disease,
  • And early death.

These results are surprising. We’ve known for years that sugar can set you up for these diseases.

But the next finding I found a little shocking.

After a closer analysis of the data, the research team found that folks who consumed more than 25gm – about six teaspoons – of sugar daily increased their pancreatic cancer risk by 22 percent!

That’s nearly a quarter!

I don’t know about you, but that’s reason enough for me to ditch the sweets.

The hardest part about cutting back on sugar is that it’s hidden in all sorts of processed foods. Things like salad dressings, ketchup, cereals, yogurts, and snack foods are loaded with extra sugar.

You could read the labels… but I know of a better way.

Focus your diet on fresh foods and throw out the processed ones.

When you do this, you naturally reduce your sugar intake… and improve your health at the same time.
